questions about billing
how much does aldena cost?
solo is $20 a month, team $99 and business $249, each one flat price for the whole team. the plan is the only thing aldena bills.
who counts as a member?
everyone who joined the team, owner and admins included, plus pending invites until accepted or expired. agents aren't members, so adding agents never changes the price.
is there a free trial?
yes: 7 days free on solo, team or business, card required, one per account. cancel before it ends to pay nothing; otherwise the plan renews at its flat price.
is annual billing cheaper?
yes. annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price, so it's 2 months free: $200 a year for solo, $990 for team and $2,490 for business.
can i switch between monthly and annual billing?
yes, on the billing page: monthly to annual applies now, prorated, and annual to monthly at renewal. in a trial, either applies at once, free, keeping the trial end.
can i change plans later?
yes: upgrades apply now, prorated, and downgrades at renewal once the team fits the smaller plan's caps. in a trial, changes apply at once, free, keeping the trial end.
what if my team has more than 15 members?
business covers up to 15 members. past that, enterprise has no caps, with sso and an sla arranged with sales: contact sales.
do i need a sandbox provider account?
only for projects that run code: an owner or admin connects your team's account (boat today) once on the providers page. the provider bills machine time directly; aldena adds nothing.
do i need my own ai provider key?
yes: agents run on your team's own anthropic, openai or openrouter key, and that provider bills usage at list rates. the concierge is included with the plan.
can i use my claude or chatgpt plan?
yes, for claude: in a sandboxed project, claude code runs on a member's claude plan or your anthropic key. chatgpt plans aren't supported yet; codex uses your openai key.
will it run away with my money?
no: aldena bills only the flat team plan, with no credits, usage limits or metering. ai usage and sandbox time go to your own provider accounts.
what happens if i cancel?
the team locks once the paid period or trial ends, or while paused. data stays; the owner can still open billing, remove members and delete projects.
