Licensed, accountable roles. A lawyer filing in court, an auditor signing accounts, a structural engineer stamping a drawing. A model can draft all three. None can carry the liability, hold the licence, or be struck off. Regulators show no appetite for changing that, and the whole point of the licence is that a specific person is answerable.

The effect on headcount depends entirely on demand. Where demand is elastic, like healthcare, more capacity per worker means more work done and roughly stable employment. Where it is fixed, like an internal legal team with a set caseload, the same output arrives from fewer people.
the honest caveat
Nobody predicting job outcomes has a good track record, including me. Two things are worth holding at once: whole occupations rarely disappear, and specific entry-level rungs disappear quickly. The damage lands unevenly and lands first on the people who were about to start.
